“Rosary for Peace, the Family, and Life” is the initiative proposed by the Association Evangelium Vitae and the Delegation of the Family Ministry Office of the Archdiocese of Madrid on the 24th of each month. Yesterday, at the Diocesan Center of Eucharist Prayer St. Martin of Tours, which is also the seat of the Association Evangelium Vitae, a meeting was held “with the intention—explain the promoters—to respond to the call that St. John Paul II left in writing in the encyclical Evangelium Vitae: ‘a great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world.’”
At present, they add, “it is becoming increasingly necessary to defend human life not only at the beginning but also at its final stage, and we have in mind euthanasia that some want to legalize, calling it ‘dignified death.’ We pray with the hope that those governing will be enlightened by the spirit of the defense of life, from its conception to natural death.” Finally, there will be a special thought for all those who will be demonstrating in Mexico on Saturday the 29th, on the fifth anniversary of the legalization of abortion in that country.
