On 17 February, the second prayer meeting will be held, with the presence of Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, General Secretary of the Synod of Bishops. This time will be dedicated to prayer, catechesis, testimonies, and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Young people who belong to movements and communities are invited to participate and respond to the invitation of Cardinal Rylko, Archpriest of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore: “What the Synod of Bishops needs is a prayerful path, a journey of prayer.”

The aim of these ten monthly meetings is to accompany young people in their desire to follow Mary on the path of discipleship and mission. The choice of the Marian basilica is inspired by the example of Pope Francis, who before and after each apostolic journey stops to pray before the icon of the Salus Popoli Romani.
