The contribution of palliative care to medicine, health care, and society, the spread of palliative care, the impact of different religious beliefs and spiritual perspectives on the care of the dying, the political and economic implications of palliative care.

These are some of the issues that will be addressed from February 28th to March 1st in Rome, at the International Congress “Palliative Care: Everywhere & by Everyone,” organized by the Pontifical Academy for Life.

The aim, the promoters explain, is “to promote dialogue and cooperation between the different actors involved in the practice and diffusion of palliative care and, through this, to protect the dignity of the dying person by taking charge of his vulnerability.”

On this occasion, the Academy’s PAL-Life Project, designed and implemented to promote the global diffusion of palliative care, will be officially presented.
