From “Love in Progress,” an itinerary for young couples in love, to paths for those who are facing moments of difficulty and trying to find themselves—these coaching proposals, with some variations including for specific situations, have been created in family ministry centers throughout Italy.

The pastoral care of the Franciscans of Tuscany has initiatives intended for engaged couples with the desire to discern their own call to marriage and for families of all ages who—we read on the website—“wish to walk together in a Franciscan spirit of sharing and friendship.”

The diocese of Brescia has prepared some interviews (that can be consulted and downloaded here) with Father Giorgio Comini, director of the diocesan office for the family, on Amoris Laetitia. The diocese of Brescia has prepared a “life preserver” of “Retrouvaille” for marriages in difficulty, a program for couples who are suffering in their marriage. Furthermore, the diocese of Bologna is offering formation courses on affection, updating for animators of the paths in wedding preparation, accompaniment for the separated and for remarried divorcees. Finally, the diocese of Verona proposes seminars, specific support to the grandparents of separated families, and specialized training for priests involved in the pastoral care of the family.
