The Heart of Christian Life

The family is “the heart of Christian life” and must be the stake of this new pastoral year, said Évora’s Archbishop, H.E. Msgr. José Alves, a few days ago at the inauguration of the pastoral year 2017-2018 during the “Day of the diocesan church.”

“The family is society’s greatest asset,” added the Archbishop, announcing that an in-depth study of the theme “My Family Communicates the Joy of Love” will be presented by Fernando and Eugénia Magalhães, members of the Lisbon Patriarchate.

According to the couple, “today, many challenges are leading to question the joy of love and family; but it is fundamental to perceive this joy as something natural because we are God’s children and communicating the beauty of the family is inevitable.”
