“Be Not Afraid” is the theme of the annual Respect Life Program promoted by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) that will be observed from October 2017 to September 2018.

Inaugurated in 1972 and opened each year on the first Sunday of October, the “Month of Life,” the Program—explains the Resource Guide for 2107-2018—“promotes respect for human life in the light of our intrinsic dignity as having been created in God’s image and likeness and called to an eternal destiny with him.”

Digital resources and tools can be downloaded from the page of the USCCB website dedicated to the Program (www.usccb.org/respectlife). The material, for use by individuals and communities, is available in English and Spanish. There is also an extensive database of pictures, also designed to be shared on social networks.
