The formation courses offered by the John Paul II Institute, which began last year, are continuing with the theme “After the Synod: The roads of family ministry.” These days, a course is being held on “The splendor and ambiguity of sex. Is educating possible?” coordinated by José Noriega, visiting professor of moral theology. The study seminar “The oil on the wounds,” on the pastoral care of the wounds of abortion and divorce, is scheduled for March.

José Noriega and Raffaella Iafrate, professor at the Catholic University of Milan, will speak on “The children of divorce,” and the experts Monika Rodman, coordinator of “Rachel’s Vineyard” Italy Mission—a path of support and healing for post-abortion trauma—, and the theologian Juan José Pérez-Soba will lecture on “The wounds of abortion.” In May, the seminar on “Pastoral Commitment with marginalized and poor families” will be organized by the spouses Benito Baranda and Maria Lorena Cornejo Robinson of the foundation America Solidaria.
