“Super Dads” is an initiative that has been created to celebrate fathers and stress the importance of love, play, protection and good nutrition for the child’s healthy mental development. UNICEF launched the campaign on Father’s Day, which is celebrated in Italy on March 19th and in 90 other countries around the world on the third Sunday of June.

Super Dads—reports UNICEF in a press release—is part of our #EarlyMomentsMatter campaign, which aims to drive increased understanding of how children’s environments and experiences in early childhood can shape their future health, well-being, ability to learn, and even how much they will earn as adults.”

UNICEF invites families to post photos and videos of what it takes to be “super dads,” using the hashtag #EarlyMomentsMatter on their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The initiative has been joined by stars from the world of entertainment and sport, including David Beckham, the legendary New Jersey rugby team, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, and the Australian actor Hugh Jackman.

Videos and photos of celebrity dads will be coupled with stories of super dads from around the world, including those who are doing their best to raise their children in extremely difficult circumstances.
