Prefect Farrell’s message to the families of the Renewal in the Spirit gathered in Pompeii for the 11th Pilgrimage

“You are the people who make Jesus present in the world, in your small one, noiselessly, by giving and receiving love for others. This is how marriage and the family are built, and human life, children’s education, solidarity with the needy, and love for the sick are promoted—in a word, everything that Jesus did because he surely learned it in His Family.” Prefect Kevin Farrell had these words in his message to the families gathered in Pompeii on the occasion of the 11th Pilgrimage of the Renewal in the Spirit that was celebrated yesterday.

“Your yearly pilgrimage to Pompeii—the Prefect continues—is ideally what we all do in life. Sometimes walking, in the rain or in the summer heat, with weakened and tired knees and feet, can be tiring but when the goal is glimpsed—as you did on your way to the house of Our Lady—all sacrifice is transformed into joy. The Pope invites families to walk: always advancing is a sign of vitality, hope, and courage in the face of everything that can improve in our family life.”
