A few days after the end of the Youth Synod, the Vicariate of Rome has proposed a meeting on the recent experience of ecclesial communion

Today, the Cardinal Vicar, Angelo De Donatis will recount his experience of the Synod at the Pontifical Major Roman Seminary during a meeting called “After the Synod, the Challenge in Educating the Young”. The Cardinal will converse with the Auxiliary Bishop for the Eastern sector,  Gianpiero Palmieri and Paola Bignardi, Coordinator of the Youth Observatory of the Istituto Toniolo.

“The Synod  has just finished” reflects Don Antonio Magnotta, Director of the Diocesan Youth Ministry Service. “We carry in our heart the beauty of a Church that has taken care of our young people and children with the attention of a choirmaster. Now this beauty has become ordinary, day to day practice.  The future of our service to young people will only become a reality if there are communities who begin and continue to accompany young people by providing the example of the Church as a mother, a mother with an open heart in accordance with that happy expression in the Evangelii gaudium. We have deemed it advisable, immediately after the Synod, to issue a  challenge to all educators, to those who have the community’s mandate to accompany the new generations”.

At the same time, Bignardi will present the research work on educators published in the book  “The Future of Faith.  The Church of Tomorrow in the Education of Young People”, edited together with Rita Bichi.
