Prefect Card. Farrell in Brazil for the 1st International Conference of Leaders of the Charismatic Community

Currently, the Prefect Card. Kevin Farrell is in Recife, Brazil, for the first International Conference for Leaders of the Charismatic Community. The Cardinal will first address the Charismatic Community’s international leaders, and then members of the National Service of the Communion of the Brazilian Charismatic Renewal, on the topic of: “CHARIS and the Charismatic Community.”

Also within the context of the conference on CHARIS—that is, the international service to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal desired by Pope Francis and officially inaugurated this past 9 June, the Prefect will speak on the theme of: “CHARIS: Its Nature and Function” to an audience of around eighty bishops coming predominately from Brazil. In addition to this, Cardinal Farrell will celebrate the concluding Mass of the conference with the participation of the members of the “Ecco tua madre” Community, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of their foundation.
