Family, Strategies for Support and Accompaniment

From the dioceses of Milan and Turin a series of proposals for couples, parents and children

Spiritual Exercises, resources, documents, activities, and formation are proposed especially to families in many dioceses.

For example, the service for the family of the church of Milan (www.chiesadimilano.it) bears the title “Love is artisanal” . The pastoral program for the family also includes the resource “The Way of Love,” prepared in collaboration with the Ambrosian Catholic Action; a spiritual journey for spouses, “Abraham’s Tent;” and the Group of the Word for the children of separated parents, proposed by the Clinical Psychology Service for the Couple and Family of the Catholic University of Milan.

With the same supportive objectives, the Office of Family Ministry of the Diocese of Turin has prepared, in addition to the classic accompaniment in marriage preparation, a formation course for young people in love, a series of spiritual exercises  for married couples, and meetings for family with homosexual children as well as for families who have adopted or been entrusted with the care of children.

There are also many resources available on the website, ranging from documents produced by work groups of the Diocesan Assembly to volumes intended especially for adolescents, pastoral agents, and priests.
