In April the IV National Pilgrimage of young Brazilians to the Sactuary of Our Lady of Aparecida
The national pilgrimage of young Brazilians to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida will take place on 27 April on the theme “Mary, passion for life and for the Lord of life” and will gather together young people for moments of spirituality, formation and socialization. The Brasilian Episcopal Conference has announced it. It is the fourth national pilgrimage of this kind and this time too “will be an important moment for the young”, stated Father Antônio Ramos do Prado, Counsel of the Pastoral Commission for Young People: “Every year we choose a theme connected with Mary or a theme under the spot lights. The pilgrimage is rich in catechesis, witnesses, masses, conferences, walks and musical evenings”.
The objective is to give space to all the expressions of young people in the Country in a moment of communion and recognition of the diversity of the charisms of young people as a treasure for the Church. Given the size of the Country, the promoters are thinking of organising pilgrimages in other places in Brazil at the same time.
