“I invite you to develop your talents to contribute to an ecological conversion that recognizes the eminent dignity of each person, his particular value, his creativity, and his ability to promote the common good. Your search for beauty in what you create is animated by the desire to serve the beauty of the quality of people’s lives, their harmony with the environment, their encounter, and mutual help.” These are the words that Pope Francis addressed to the members of the movement “Diaconie de la Beauté” whom he received a few days ago in the Consistory Hall.

Then, he encouraged them to “promote a culture of encounter, to build bridges between people, among peoples, in a world where so many walls are still being built for fear of others.” The Church, said the Pope to the members of the movement, “counts on you to make the ineffable beauty of God’s love perceptible and to allow everyone to discover the beauty of being loved by God, to be filled with His love, to live out of it, and bear witness to it in our attention to others, especially those who are excluded, wounded, rejected in our societies.”

The members of the movement “Diaconie de la Beauté” also visited our Dicastery.
