Penetrate all cultures—medical, juridical, philosophical, and pedagogical—and animate them from within, so that they express the whole truth about man and life: this was reaffirmed by Pope Francis in his speech to the delegation of the International Federation of Catholic Medical Associations.

With this objective, the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences and the Institute of Bioethics and Medical Humanities of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart are proposing a second level master’s degree in bioethics and education.

The path, explain the promoters, is designed to “offer a solid interdisciplinary academic formation on issues concerning the interventions on human life in the age of technology, within the framework of fundamental anthropological, theological-moral, and juridical references, in the perspective of the family’s centrality.” In this way, they conclude, it will be possible “to provide appropriate tools for placing the bioethical issues in the different formative and consultative contexts.”
