A commemorative plaque for the Prefect Farrell's visit
A dedication alongside the International Preparatory Meeting for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023
During his trip to Fatima to participate in the International Preparatory Meeting for World Youth Day 2023, the Prefect of our Dicastery, Card. Kevin Farrell, was accompanied by the Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon and President of the WYD 2023 Foundation, Monsignor Américo Aguiar, to the headquarters of the WYD Local Organizing Committee in Lisbon.
There, in the presence of Cardinal Manuel José Macário do Nascimento Clemente, Patriarch of Lisbon, a plaque was dedicated to the Prefect to express "gratitude for all the personal and institutional support" to the Cardinal and all those in the Dicastery involved in various roles in the organization of the WYD.
The Prefect recalled that "The WYD has been running for 30 years even under the most difficult of circumstances." Since today's situation is not easy, "due to the health situation around the world," Cardinal Farrell thanked the COL for the work already done and "for every effort you can and will make in the future."
