Archbishop Forte to the Young: “Your life can become the most beautiful dream”
The letter from the Archbishop of Chieti in view of the Synod of Bishops dedicated to young people
“I’m not writing to tell you what you have to do but to invite you to dream. Of course, if you know how to dream, your life will gradually become the most beautiful thing you can dream.” The Archbishop of Chieti, Bruno Forte, has written this in a letter to young people in view of next autumn’s Synod of Bishops.
“I’m writing to you—he continues—because you are at the center of my heart’s attention, especially at this time when, at the invitation of Pope Francis, the entire Church is thinking about you, reflecting with you and for you, in preparation for the next Synod of Bishops, which will be dedicated to you.”
Then, referring to his personal experience, he adds: “This is what has happened to me since I met Jesus and I discovered my vocation. And, this is also why I am addressing myself to you! The dream I’m talking about does not mean fleeing from reality or the presumption of doing something impossible: it is instead the challenge to fly high, to see the invisible, and to love with the love that comes from God, the love that invites us to realize in our lives the project that He has for each one of us, spending it with joy in His service and that of others.”
