Christus Vivit
An encouragement for the young people of Venezuela
The message of Fr. Awi to the youth participating in the 33rd National Youth Pastoral Assembly of Venezuela
From 4 – 6 October 2019, the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference sponsored the thirty-third National Pastoral Assembly in Caracas.
Young people from all over the county, along with those in responsible positions within the dioceses and vicariates of Venezuela, gathered to discuss possibilities for the Venezuelan Church and for the youth of the universal Church during a meeting on the theme of: “Christ is alive and wants us to be alive.”
Through a video message, the Secretary of the Dicastery, Father Alexandre Awi Mello, sent his greetings to the meeting’s participants, inviting them to be protagonists in this post-Synodal period and to convey the central message of hope in the Apostolic Exhortation Christus vivit—namely, “Christ is alive and wants you to be alive”—to all the young people of Venezuela.
