Associations and Movements
Charisms and Institutions
A day of study focused on the theological scenario and open legal issues in the relationship between movements, associations, new communities, and institutions

“Charism and Institution in Movements and Ecclesial Communities” is the theme of the study day, promoted by the Evangelii Gaudium Center of the Sophia University Institute and under the patronage of the Italian Canonical Association, which will take place on Thursday, January 18th, in the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome.
At the Day, introduced by the ASCAI President Msgr. Erasmo Napolitano and the president of the Focolare Movement, Maria Voce, the Prefect Kevin Farrell will intervene.
The work sessions will concern the theological aspects, the nature of charisms, legal issues, the power of governance, and the synodality of decision-making processes. In the afternoon, the discussion will focus on open questions with representatives of movements and the perspectives illustrated by the canonists.
