Dublin: Here’s the Program of Pope Francis’ Visit

The official program of Pope Francis’ apostolic visit to Ireland, on August 25th and 26th, on the occasion of the World Meeting of Families, has been published.
Yesterday, the Press Office of the Holy See announced that the trip will begin on Saturday, August 25th. Upon his arrival in Ireland, Francis will first go to Áras an Uachtaráin, Ireland’s Presidential Residence and, then, to Dublin Castle where he will meet with the authorities, civil society, and the diplomatic corps.
In the early afternoon, the Holy Father will go to St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral and, subsequently, to the Day Centre of the Capuchin Fathers as well as on a private visit to their Day Centre for Homeless Families. In the evening, the Pope will participate in the Festival of Families in Croke Park Stadium.
The next day, Sunday, August 26th, Francis will fly to Knock, where he will visit the Marian shrine and celebrate the Angelus there. Back in Dublin, in the early afternoon, he will preside, in Phoenix Park, the final Mass of the WMOF and meet the Irish Bishops in the Convent of the Dominican Sisters. Then, he will return to Rome in the evening.
Tickets for the Festival of Families and the Final Mass are free and available here.
