Panama: key decision concerning visas for the WYD 2019
The president of the Republic of Panama has signed a Decree which will facilitate the visa application process for WYD 2019 in countries in which Panama does not have a consular representation

According to the procedure presented in the Decree, participants in WYD will be able to apply for a special visa for the upcoming WYD through the website of the National Immigration Service of Panama. This possibility is available only for pilgrims from countries in which Panama does not have a consular representation.
These pilgrims will have to complete the dedicated form available on the website. They have to members of a group registered in the dedicated registration system for the WYD 2019 and present the required documents and their reservation for a return flight to Panama. All details concerning this process will be explained on the website of the Local Organising Committee WYD 2019.
The Decree signed by the President of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, is an important step towards the upcoming WYD which will be held from 22 till 27 of January 2019. Up to now over 207,000 pilgrims have declared, in the registration system, their willingness to take part in this worldwide encounter of young people with the Holy Father.
