New European Symposium on Young People in Krakow from 20 to 23 October 2020 is announced

At the end of the meeting of the National Delegates for Youth Ministry and the University of the European Episcopal Conferences held in Rome last week, a new European symposium on young people was announced, (following the one held in Barcelona in 2017). It will be held in Krakow from 20 to 23 October during the Centenary of Saint John Paul II’s birth and his feast day.
The press release, reports on the Synod (Falabretti, Metzlaff and Costa) and the recent World Youth Day in Panama (Parafiniuk) are attached.
Father Joao Chagas, Head of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life’s Youth Office, outlined the roadmap to combine day-to-day and special events “After the WYD. Youth Ministry and Everyday Life.”
The Krakow Symposium aims to be an occasion for implementing the Synod’s indications in the light of the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation that Pope Francis will sign on 25th March next.
