Pope Francis
That children’s futures would be a priority
The video message with the prayer intentions for December published through the Pope’s World Prayer Network
"Every marginalized child, every abused child, every abandoned child, every child without schooling, without medical care, is a cry that rises up to God.” So begins the message of Pope Francis with the prayer intentions for the month of December.
“In each child,” states the Pope in the video message published by the World Prayer Network, “there is Christ who came into our world as a helpless child. It is Christ,” reiterates Pope Francis, “who is looking at us in each of those children.”
“We pray that each country—and so it is the intention of the month—would decide to take the measures necessary in order to make children’s futures a priority, especially the future of those children who today are suffering.”
