A word of thanksgiving from Card. Farrell

“I express my gratitude to Pope Francis for the trust placed in me. I renew my commitment to be fully available to the service of the Holy Father and of the universal Church; and I offer up, on the occasion of this new appointment, the accumulated experience from my years as a bishop in the United States and more recently within the Roman Curia.”

This is the message of thanksgiving from Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Prefect of our Dicastery, regarding his appointment as a member of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts. The news was announced via the bollettino of the Sala Stampa.

In addition to being Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church of the Apostolic Camera, a member of Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See, and a member of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State, since 9 July of last year the Prefect has also been a member of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic life.
