The Pope to young people: always look towards the horizon
The Holy Father invites young people to continue to register for the next WYD in Lisbon
Any young person who goes to World Youth Day “has the thirst to participate, to share.. They are thirsty for horizons”. In a Videomessage published today, Pope Francis invites young people who are registering for the next World Youth Day - to be held in Lisbon in August - to look towards the horizon, to always look beyond the walls that often prevent growth: “You young people, there are already 400 thousand of you registered, are thirsty for the horizon. At this meeting, during this WYD, learn to always look towards the horizon, to always look beyond. Don't put up a wall in front of your life. Walls close you in, the horizon makes you grow. Always look at the horizon with your eyes, but look, above all, with your heart. Open your heart to other cultures, to other boys, to other girls, who are also at this World Youth Day.”
Finally, the Holy Father encourages everyone to participate and register: “And thank you for having already registered so far in advance. Let's hope others will follow your example.”
In this phase of preparation of the WYD, the Episcopal Conferences, movements, associations, and all the youth who want to register can do so through this platform.
