In preparation for the 39th World Youth Day, which will be celebrated in particular Churches on Sunday, 24 November, on the Solemnity of Christ the King of the Universe, the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life is presenting a series of five video-testimonies by young people on the themes of the Message that Pope Francis delivered to young people yesterday, titled “Those who hope in the Lord will run and not be weary” (Cf. Is 40:31).

Through the experiences of Joohyun, Sara, Carlos, Beatrice and Natanhael, the videos showcase the beauty and difficulty of living life's journey as a pilgrim. It is an experience marked by challenges, difficulties, moments of disappointment and the search for a destination that seems far away. Yet, if the journey is not faced alone, but together and with a goal on the horizon, every pilgrimage reaches its final destination.

Having hope and knowing that the journey ultimately leads to God is what gives strength and encourages to share the path with others.

The videos are available throughout this week on the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life’s YouTube channel and social media platforms. They can also be shared and used as pastoral tools by those working in pastoral care of youth.
