Fruitful Love: the gratuitous dimension of love
Online the sixth episode of the dialogue of the Pope with families
«Love always gives life. Spousal love is not exhausted within the couple, but generates a family. Parents’ love is the means by which God shows His love. He awaits the birth of every baby. He accepts and welcomes each child as they are».
With these words the Holy Father speaks to us of the fruitfulness of conjugal love, in the sixth of the 10 videos that see Pope Francis as a protagonist together with families from different parts of the world.
This video refers to the fifth chapter of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia: “Love made fruitful”. Accompanying the words of the Holy Father is the testimony of Enrico and Francesca, an Italian couple on a mission in Bridgport, USA. - «We felt God was calling us to be fruitful, to open ourselves to life, to His plan for us. On mission with our children, we live like a normal family, bearing witness to God’s love to the people we meet on our way, proclaiming through our lives that Christ is risen and has conquered death» - Enrico and Francesca say.
Through a series of 10 videos, the Holy Father, with the help of several families, invites us to journey together to rediscover the value and beauty of the family. Each video is accompanied by a guide that can be used flexibly either by families or by various ecclesial realities (dioceses, parishes, communities).
This pastoral resource is an initiative of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life in collaboration with the Dicastery for Communication, as part of the initiatives of the «Amoris Laetitia Family» Year.
