The Meeting Point
Experts from all over the world are discussing the course of affective-sexual education inspired by the Amoris Laetitia

Upgrading the experience of the Course in different environments, especially in view of the Dublin World Meeting of Families, and contributing to the 2018 Synod of Bishops on Youth.
These are the goals that have brought 35 experts from all over the world to Rome for the International Seminar on “The Meeting Point,” which is being held today and tomorrow at the Dicastery’s headquarters.
“The Meeting Point” is the Course of Affective and Sexual Education inspired by Amoris Laetitia that our Dicastery presented during the World Youth Day in Krakow.
“We start from the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, which encourages the Church’s ministry to reflect on and diffuse suitable affective-sexual education,” say the promoters.
The connection with the remote preparation for marriage, one of the cornerstones of the upcoming World Meeting of Families in Dublin, and the fact that the young people are the primary recipients, “highlight the tie between youth ministry and its continuity with the pastoral care of the family. Sexual-affective education, in the modern culture of emotionality where it is so difficult to promote vocational discernment—they conclude—is essential at this moment in the life of young people.
