Panama: 2nd International Preparatory Meeting for the WYD 2019

The delegates representing bishops’ conferences from over 80 countries and about 35 international movements and communities will gather in Panama City from 6th till 9th of June to discuss the latest preparations for World Youth Day 2019. The 2nd International Preparatory Meeting organised by the WYD Local Organising Committee together with the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life is considered to be one of the key moments in preparation for next year’s World Youth Day.

“The detailed information to be given to the delegates during the meeting will help them to better prepare the spiritual and logistic aspects of the young people’s pilgrimage” – says Fr. João Chagas, the head of the Youth Office of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life.

In the 2nd International Preparatory Meeting for WYD 2019 there will be a delegation of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. The participants will have the opportunity not only to discuss the most important issues related to the upcoming WYD but also to visit the main venues of the youth gathering and to meet with the members and volunteers of the WYD Local Organising Committee.
