Signifying the Body: Limit, Encounter, Resource
Superior Institute for Women’s Studies is offering an advanced course for a panoramic vision of the body in today’s culture

The advanced course “Signifying the Body: Limit, Encounter, Resource" is offered by the Superior Institute for Women’s Studies of the Pontifical Ateneum Regina Apostolorum with the aim of presenting a panoramic vision of the body in today’s culture.
The following questions are at the base: What is the relationship between a person’s body and identity? How is it understood by law, by literature, by mass media? What assumptions are behind this concept?
The search for the meaning of corporeity, the search for the meaning of the self, and the vital orientation in view of one’s human fullness are the three main contexts in which the reflection will be placed each Tuesday from 22 February to 31 May.
Signifying one’s own corporeality, explain the promoters, “is part of the elaboration of the ‘project of oneself’ in which, on the basis of an open nature, the person is involved in view of the fullness that one must reach.”
