A Time of Renewal with the Family and the Young

“May this Easter be a time of renewal for everyone and for the Church through the family and the young!” This is the wish that the Dicastery’s Secretary, Father Alexandre Awi Mello, addresses to everyone in his video message in Spanish available on our channel YouTube.

On this occasion, the secretary retraces last week’s events involving the Dicastery, including Pope Francis’ announcement of his participation in the World Meeting of the Families in Dublin and the Pre-Synodal Meeting of Young People—“a unique moment in the history of the Church,” says Fr. Awi—which brought together 300 young people from around the world (http://www.laityfamilylife.va/content/laityfamilylife/en/news/2018/a-colloquio-con-i-giovani-di-tutto-il- mondo.html), “called to express their opinion and help the Church to respond to their requests.” This Pre-Synodal Meeting also produced a final document that will constitute the starting base of next October’s Synod.
