Cardinal Farrell: society is in need of moral and spiritual renewal

Cardinal Kevin Farrell’s message to the 42^nd National Convocation of the Renewal in the Holy Spirit is one of encouragement to continue along the path undertaken that has been so  fruitful in conversion, holiness and service. This meeting gathered together about fifteen thousand people from 5^th to 7^th April in Rimini.  Unable to attend the meeting himself, the Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life underlined in his message the faith that Pope Francis places in the vast current of grace represented by the Renewal throughout the world, as well as in the service of communion that the new international body, “Charis”,  –  fully operational  from 9^th June onwards  –  is called upon to provide to all the charismatic realities.   “I am confident” – said Cardinal Farrell – “that also Renewal in the Holy Spirit will know how to receive and enhance the coordination service offered by Charis”.
