“Amoris Laetitia Family” Year
The new pastoral style of Amoris Laetitia: welcoming, accompanying, discerning and integrating with an outlook to Synodality
Gabriella Gambino's speech at the international meeting organized by the Embassy of France to the Holy See and the WUCWO

Last September 15, at the Centre Saint-Louis of the Institut français in Rome, a webinar entitled The new pastoral style of Amoris Laetitia: welcoming, accompanying, discerning and integrating, an event organized by WUCWO-UMOFC in collaboration with the French Embassy to the Holy See, took place.
The meeting was held as part of the academic and pastoral initiatives of the "Amoris Laetitia Family" Year with the participation of Ms. Gabriella Gambino, Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Life and Family, and Ms. Oranne de Mautort, theologian and co-author of the book Familles, belles et fragiles! Mettre en oeuvre Amoris Laetitia dans l'Eglise (Éditions jésuites, 2020).
In her speech, which was followed by a debate with those present in the room and those connected remotely, Ms. Gambino aimed at introducing the novelty of the "ecclesiological approach of synodality" - to which Pope Francis calls the baptized through the announcement of the next Ordinary Synod, which will open in October - to walk together with families and "give form" to pastoral action by making the Holy Spirit intervene in view of an authentic ecclesial communion.
