The Site of Panama’s WYD Celebrations have been announced

During a press conference held in Panama, Msgr. Ulloa, Archbishop of Panama, announced, on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, that the main celebrations of World Youth Day 2019 will take place on the Cinta Costera.

Archbishop Ulloa explained that this decision was made in light of the evaluation of the logistics and the security, and keeping in mind the desire for “simplicity” expressed by the Pope.

The organizers estimate that nearly 375,000 registered participants will be at this WYD and that the Cinta Costera will be happy to welcome them. For those who want to take part in encounters without registering, space will be provided both inside and outside the area.
