“Gaudete et Exsultate”: Everyday Holiness Becomes a Photography Anthology
From tomorrow on our site will show the covers dedicated to Pope Francis’ most recent Apostolic Exhortation
During the consistory held a few days ago, Pope Francis announced that Paul VI and Oscar Romero will be canonized on October 14th.
In addition to Pope Montini and the Archbishop of San Salvador, the diocesan priest Francesco Spinelli, founder of the Institute of the Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament, the diocesan priest Vincenzo Romano, Maria Caterina Kasper, virgin and foundress of the Institute of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, and Nazaria Ignazia of Saint Teresa of Jesus, virgin and foundress of the Congregation of the Crucified Missionary Sisters of the Church, will be canonized.
In all, there will be six new saints, men and women who devoted themselves to faithfully serving the Gospel, as Francis invited us to do in his recent Apostolic Exhortation, “Gaudete et exsultate”.
Responding to the Pope’s invitation, we too have decided to “make the call to holiness resound once again” on a daily basis, with the tools and in the languages of the modern world.
As we already did with “Amoris Laetitia,” proposing in an “illustrated” version each day as the cover of our site and on the Dicastery’s social profiles, we are also going to present an anthology of phrases from “Gaudete et exsultate” combined with photos.
Starting tomorrow, we will daily change the contents recalling beauty and holiness. At the end of the path through both exhortations, we will put covers on these two collections, so that they can be contemplated and shared.
