“The Young, Faith and Vocational Discernment”

On June 19^th, the annual meeting of the ecclesial movements and new communities will be held in Pio XI Hall of the Palazzo San Calisto.

Kevin Farrell, our Dicastery’s Cardinal Prefect, will introduce the day’s work. Msgr. Carlos Simón Vázquez, delegate for the Family and Life Section, will then present the updates concerning the IX World Meeting of Families, which will be celebrated in Dublin from 21 to 26 August.

Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello, the Dicastery’s Secretary, will report on the preparations for next October’s Synod of Bishops, and Giovanna Guerrieri of the Youth Office will speak about the next World Youth Day, scheduled to be held in Panama, in January 2019.

In the afternoon, the General Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, will present the aims, the expectations, and the prospects of the upcoming Synod.
