Schoenstatt
In the Name of Life, a Family on the march
Prefect Farrell presided over a mass in memory of the Founder of the Apostolic Movement, Father Josef Kentenich
The Roman Schoenstatt family gathered together on 13th November last at the Church of Santa Maria dell’Anima to celebrate the end of the Kentenich Year with a solemn mass. The celebration was presided over by the prefect, Kevin Farrell, assisted by the Secretary of the Dicastery, Father Alexandre Awi Mello and Cardinal Ignazio Sanna, Archbishop of Oristano.
Cardinal Farrell’s homily was a true compendium of Father Kentenich’s life, an invitation to all those present to get to know the founder and to become enthusiastic about his concept of applying Christian pedagogy. The Cardinal, in going over the prominent episodes of Father Kentenich’s life, highlighted his contribution to the Church of his time, a contribution still valid for us today.
At the end of the mass, celebrated together with 20 priests from 12 countries, all the participants entrusted themselves to Mary, making a commitment like her, following the teaching of Father Kentenich, to build history in a free and total filial relationship with Christ.
