St. Peter's Basilica in prayer for the youth of WYD

Throughout the World Youth Day, scheduled for Aug. 1-6, pilgrims arriving at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican will be invited to join in communion of prayer for the young people gathered in Lisbon with Holy Father Francis.

In collaboration with the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, the invitation to accompany young people with the Pilgrim's Prayer to the Tomb of Peter will include Masses celebrated in the Vatican Basilica and daily Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in the right aisle of the Basilica. Adoration times range from the end of morning Mass, celebrated at 8:30 a.m. in the same Chapel, until 4:30 p.m., the time of the reposition. A graphic notice at the entrance to the Chapel will inform the pilgrims, who enter for Adoration, of the special WYD event, along with directions on how to access the WYD page of the St. Peter's Basilica website and download the official WYD prayer texts in several languages.
