Marfam proposes a resource to help families prepare for Easter
“Marfam” (Marriage and Family Life Renewal Ministry), which has been working for years in direct contact with the Bishops’ Conference of South Africa to actively promote and support the family with its publications, has now made a resources dedicated to Holy Week and Easter available on line.
The association works to raise the family’s awareness of its life as a domestic church, providing materials and resources that help to strengthen the family and conjugal spirituality. Its work consists mostly of apostolic activity, based on an annual editorial plan, but it also frequently publishes small booklets on the situation of the South African family and divorce, sexuality, marriage and widowhood.
“Considering that everyone belongs to a family—we read on the associations website (www.marfam.org.za)— and that 99+% of the Church consists of laity living in family relationships of various kinds in the world,” it is urgent to develop and disseminate high-quality resources for family catechesis.
