A Life to Love
Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Death of Father Oreste Benzi, on October 31st, at the Conference Center in Rimini

“A Life to Love” is the title of the Convention that will be held on October 31st, at the Rimini Conference Center, ten years after the death of Father Oreste Benzi.
This initiative, promoted by the “Associazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII,” is intended to recall, with testimonies and reflections, the figure of its founder who died on November 2nd, 2007, and whose beatification process began in 2014.
The event will start with young people on the morning of the 31st. Hundreds of high school students in Rimini have been invited to listen to the testimonies of people engaged in the fight against injustice in different areas: life, disability and integration, immigration, prostitution, trafficking of human beings, and drug addiction.
In the afternoon, other voices from the world of associations and movements will help the participants to get to know the “priest with the threadbare cossack” better. The presidents of Agesci, the Catholic Action, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Renewal in the Spirit, and the Families Forum will speak about the spiritual legacy left to the Italian society by Father Benzi and the future challenges.
