One year ago, the X World Meeting of Families

One year from the celebration of the X World Meeting of Families, which concluded the "Amoris Laetitia Family" Year, at the Church level there is still an echo of the many matters presented.

In these months following the event, “There has been a strong growing awareness of the need to make families the protagonists of family ministry and to make young people aware of the importance of the vocation to marriage and family” comments Gabriella Gambino, Under-secretary of the Dicastery.

In the wake of the themes proposed during the Amoris Laetitia Family Year that accompanied the preparation to the X World Meeting of Families, dioceses around the world have been working to initiate a renewal in family pastoral care, especially starting with the implementation of the Catechumenal Pathways for Married Life.

Even the Family Global Compact, recently launched to bring Catholic universities and family ministry closer together, follows the path of the many initiatives inspired by Amoris Laetitia.
