Press Conference on “Ten Years after Amoris Laetitia: Proclaiming the Gospel with Families Today"

At 11.30 am today, in the Holy See Press Office, Via della Conciliazione 54, a press conference was held to present the meeting with the Holy Father Leo XIV and the Heads of the Eastern Churches and the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences, entitled Ten Years after Amoris Laetitia: Proclaiming the Gospel with Families Today. The meeting will take place in the Paul VI Hall (Vatican) from the afternoon of Wednesday 7 October 2026 until the late afternoon of Wednesday 14 October 2026.

On the final day, Pope Leo XIV will preside over Holy Mass in St Peter’s Square at 10.00.

Speakers at the event included: Prof. Gabriella Gambino, Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life – Coordinator for families during the meeting; Prof. Orietta Rachele Grazioli, Lecturer in ‘Canon and Comparative Family Law’ at the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for the Sciences of Marriage and the Family – Deputy Coordinator of the experts during the meeting; The Most Reverend Father Giacomo Costa, S.I., Consultant to the General Secretariat of the Synod, responsible for methodology during the meeting.
